Systems Analyst

The Systems Analyst position is responsible for serving as the key liaison between our technology team members and our business, will have a thorough understanding of the internal technology systems that we use and be able to communicate the needs verbally and in writing, as well as document processes and test applications to meet business needs. The Systems Analyst is required to identify and resolve problematic issues and always seek to provide the highest level of customer service. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships as a liaison, and independently with MZQ team members.
  • Assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions.
  • Works with users to identify system requirements; develops processing procedures and systems modifications to meet these specifications.
  • Collaborate with users and developers to identify and prioritize issue resolution and enhancements.
  • Draft informational materials and graphics to explain systems to managers and users.
  • Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process.
  • Performs system tests and collaborates with developers and users to resolve issues and errors.
  • Analyzes problems and determines root causes.
  • Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed.
  • Develop good working relationships with other employees, such as Account Managers, Product Managers, Programmers.
  • Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn systems and software used by the organization.
  • Proficient in statistics, data analysis, and research methods
  • Knowledge of computer systems and programming.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Process oriented with great documentation skills
  • Strong computer, software, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications
  • Bachelors degree in technical field preferred, 3-5 years of information systems experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:
This is a hybrid remote and in office position.  Our office is in Pikesville, Maryland office and reports directly to the Chief Information & Innovation Officer.  This job operates in a professional office environment, whether in person or remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work:
Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week, following an agreed-upon schedule.  

Travel:
Minimal travel is required.
